a bit from me...

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." - Marianne Williamson.

This quote is one of my favorites. It's been quoted so often by people that sometimes I think we forget to read what it is saying. I know it's been a long time since my last post. I've been... percolating! I've been writing my novel (over 30,000 words now!!) I've been fleshing out another idea, I've been working on the website, and I have been hiding on the couch eating too much chocolate when the possibilities get too big. I admit that am scared of my dreams. But now I am determined to be afraid of them as they are coming true instead of being afraid of them before I have even tried. Subtle. Tricky. But crucial.

This quote of Marianne's has been one of my favorites for a long time (even though it's often attributed to Mandela). 30K words already?! You GO, girl!

i love the quote - it's always such a profound reminder. I also really relate to the desire to be afraid of the dreams as they are coming true as opposed to before they even begin to materialize...thanks for that.

I am going to put this quote in a post myself:)

You are so inspiring-go with that writing girl!!!!
You are a fabulous writer.

And you aren't the only one being a bit afraid. We just need to plug through....just plug through.

Loving you like crazy

Beautiful quote which dovetails nicely with regaining divine mojo and the book I am reading, "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron. Congrats on being on 30,000 words on your novel! That's quite an accomplishment! If you haven't read "The Artist's Way" yet, I highly recommend it.

I love that you're admitting to the fear of your dreams, lord knows I understand that feeling and it's often a hard thing to day. Because it suggests some sort of lack in faith to fulfill them...I glad you are deciding to be unafraid. Congratulations, I hope I can do the same.

Megg...I spent six hours in a car this weekend realizing exactly that. I am afraid of who I am. I am afraid of my dreams...my real dreams...the ones that I am so close to, not the ones that I think should be mine. Keep writing girl- you are amazing!

This is my first time to your blog (via "Frida's Notebook") and I am in tears. Your posts - all of them that I could read in 15 minutes - have my heart aching to find myself anew. I felt like I were reading words I had written to myself, which I probably have at some point or another, and that I need to read NOW. Thank you for the quotes, the inspiration.

And, you, just keep writing and working through that fear to the other side. I don't even know you, but I believe in you.

I'll be back. ;-)

Happy to have found you again. I posted the quote last night - my sister was going through some stuff and I said I would send her a quote and had to search the net for it.

I love it too and it was so appropriate to her issues. Good to find it here too.

Good luck with the novel and everything.
