"Hopefully the era of gurus and other benevolent dictators is over. Ultimately we have to learn to draw our own lines." - Gabrielle Roth
(Can you see the face in this picture? He has huge eyebrows and the big rock for a nose!)
I am sneaking out of hiding to dip a toe back into the world of blogging. I feel quite different after a month off! I have come to terms with some things, discovered some others, come up with a new project (yikes - another one?!) and found that, like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, I have been looking for all of my answers outside of myself. A small physical blip has pulled back the curtain and I realized that I have been totally living from the neck up. (Can you see the face in this picture? He has huge eyebrows and the big rock for a nose!)
So I am warning you now - things are about to get a little messy. I'm climbing back into myself from the ground up. For the first time in a long time, I am taking very deep breaths.
P.S. When I was away I spent some time with the gorgeous Susannah. She took the picture of me that is in my new banner (and she took the picture of the leaves too!) Look at this AMAZING shot from her photo blog!!!

Things are getting messy at my place and I have Sabrina Ward Harrison's words pasted up on my wall "Life is messy. Trust the mess".

:)
Hi! I've been (or was) reading your blog for a while without ever posting comments, but I thought I would say hello and welcome back from your break by way of introducing myself. I really like the new banner, and I agree Susannah's photos are gorgeous and soft and lovely.
I'm a fellow Canadian (transplanted west coaster living in Montreal) and I think the idea of living in a little flat by the sea in England sounds really dreamy!
Anyway, I've always enjoyed your blog so I'm glad you're back : )
Welcome back, Meg!!! I was just thinking about you last night as I walked the dogs. I was wondering where you were on your journey through life and composing a letter to you in my head (no, I still haven't written that letter...).
Anyway, I look forward to reading about your experience as you climb back into yourself from the ground up. I like how you put that. There is something so grounding about it. Dirt and breath...and oh, GROWTH!!
I love ya, dear Meg and your new banner looks fabulous! :)
*giggle* - i'm lovin all the banner love going on here :-) i'm so glad you let me use that photo, honey - you are freaking gorgeous!! xoxox
