Yes! Yes! Yes! Little by little...times they will a-change...That picture of Marilyn makes me feel a litte sad though...I suspect she probably wanted to be measured by what was on her insides a lot more...

Yes, thank you. This hits many buttons inside me...The words, and the picture. My whole life, my mom has had pictures of marilyn on her walls, as if she were a family member. Some longing in her that she also felt, some example of being judged for beauty-- and at the same time thinking herself that was all that mattered. Marilyn was the example of womanhood in my growing mind, in many ways. And then these words...How true they are. How pwerful and freeing.
