ahem...
i am kinda embarrassed to say i've not yet read the book...!

though i had heard that she was at ted - my old boss went and gave her an honourable mention also.

great video...

i could actually kinda relate to some of what she was saying about writing being paranormal and about ruth stone. i kinda get the same with poetry, i would miss them if i don't get them out as soon as they appear. i don't quite feel the earth shaking beneath my feet, and i certainly haven't ever been able to catch one by the tail, though it sounds pretty freakin' amazing to be experiencing that!

do you get that with your writing?

thinking of you & praying that you find the perfect publisher for your precious book.

i saw this the other day and it totally moved me. i've felt the same way about some artistic pursuits (particularly my process with songwriting) that it was a source outside myself that I was really simply accessing. thanks for posting it meg...i'm about to watch it again!

Yes I loved this too. I saw it on a site where commenters had got themselves in knots talking about mental illness and all sorts of strange takes on it, but I love the idea. I don't think there's anything strange about imagining your very own genius/daemon if it enriches your process. And if it should become "real" as it does to many of us well then, why not? Is it hurting anyone?
I didn't love her book but I really enjoy hearing her speak. She did a great talk for Google too which is also on youTube somewhere. Ideal dinner guest!
