it's TOO HOT!!

I found these pictures in a newspaper and they made me grin so I thought I would share them with you. I just love that the zookeepers are making huge popsicles for the animals. Political views aside, it's nice to know that the animals are being taken care of in this heat!! (I think that the tiger looks particularly happy with his treat!) xo

These are great. I also found it interesting (when I made the picture bigger) that there is a bridge that expands to 8 inches larger in the heat than in winter. How about that?

So sweet!! they made me smile too! And this heat, ugh!!!! When its burning down on me it feels personal. I become a crabby and lethargic bum who wants to do absolutely nothing. The other night I slept with an ice pack right on my bare skin and it wasn't even too cold. Try to stay cool. Laini put towels that she had drenched in cold water over her body and then put the fan right next to the bed and she said that worked too. Anyway, your global warming pal feels your pain! Its time like these I hate Bush even more when he says he won't be seeing Al Gore's amazing documentary on global warming. Help!

So cute -- and a good idea. I love watching the polar bears at the zoo getting their meal in a frozen block of ice and having the gnaw it out. I wonder if it annoys them, or if it gives them something to do? I know I've been eating alot of popsicles lately, but not like the tiger's. No meat popsicles!

This is really sweet. I'm sooo ready for the heatwave to break. We're supposed to get real fog tomorrow. This morning we had just a touch of fog. It was 20 degrees cooler tonight at 7:00 than last night at the same time. I've had enough. I hope it cools down soon for you too.
